OUR SWEET WATER FARM

Nestled in the heart of the ‘Mozarks,’ Our SweetWater Farm enjoys beautiful views of rolling hills, hay fields, rocky ridges, hidden springs, & pleasant little ponds. The natural beauty can make everyday life here special.  The name “Sweet Water” originates from one of our natural ground springs that provides naturally filtered crystal clear water. The story goes that when Nathan’s father was a small boy he stuck face in the natural spring, filled his belly until he could drink no more and said, “Boy that’s some sweet water!”

Both sprung from farmers, adventurers, and dreamers, it was inevitable that we would find ourselves drawn to the bucolic setting of Our SweetWater Farm. As Nathan’s grandparents, Bob & Sue Palmer, did years ago we have come to Mozark area to begin life’s adventures together.

In April 2013, we decided we wanted to live in a more sustainable way through farming.  Since then we have chronicled our adventures on our blog, began to develop organic Non-GMO products & quality hay, and started implementing new and old sustainable methods to the farm. After over a year of living on the Palmer family farm,  learning how to hay, care for animals and getting our hands dirty as new farmers, Nate and I decided to take our goal of sustainable living to the next level. In October 2014, we bought our own 80 acre farm that neighbors his family’s property.  In the summer of 2017, our happy farm grew with the welcome addition of our wonderful son.  It’s official we are farmers & parents!

Join us as we learn how to farm, explore the local area, discover what this land has to offer and try to create sustainable living space for generations to come, all the while raising a growing and adventurous son.

Oh and of course we cannot forget our ever growing critter crew – Keep checking the blog for updates on how this cute and crazy bunch keeps us on our toes, teaches us life lessons, and helps keep us centered & down to earth in this fast paced world. Thanks for stopping by the farm and taking the time to meet all of us!
